AAA has verified that on November 5, 2023, Oromo militants from the Oromo Special Zone (Amhara Region, Ethiopia) massacred at least 34 Amhara civilians and injured an additional 52 civilians in Mesno Kebele of Antsokia Gemza Woreda in North Shewa Zone (Amhara Region, Ethiopia).

AAA has been monitoring the situation and investigating reported gross human rights and serious international humanitarian law violations in the context of the ongoing war on the Amhara people mainly by the Abiy regime forces known as the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) and in some incidents by the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA) militants.

AAA has verified that on September 3, 2023, the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) carried out a door-to-door massacre in Majete and surrounding area in Efrata(na) Gidim Woreda, North Shewa Zone (Amhara Region, Ethiopia)

The Amhara Association of America (AAA) has verified as of July 18th, 2023, ethnic-based human rights violations have continued targeting ethnic Amharas in Ethiopia. The Abiy regime has continued its genocidal war on Amharas, and similar targeted has continued in Addis Ababa, Oromia and Benishangul-Gumuz Regions of Ethiopia.

As of Sunday, April 9, 2023, the Oromo Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) were largely present in Merawi town of North Mecha Woreda (West Gojjam Zone, Amhara Region, Ethiopia).
