Last week on Thursday, during gunfire exchange between the national defense force and Fano fighters unarmed civilians were killed and injured in Wurgessa town of Habru Woreda in North Wollo Zone, say residents.
The Habru Woreda administration told Voice of America, it was aware of security problems and casualties in the city but said it was undertaking investigations and could not provide tangible information.
The main administrator Hussein Mehamed said the security problem was prevalent in areas surrounding Habru Woreda in addition to Wurgessa town and was impacting day to day life for local residents.
